Organic green tea, Shincha leaf, from Japan. This tea grows in the mountainous area of Asahina near the city of Shizuoka, and comes from a special shade plantation, which lasts about 20 days. The final product of the tea, after harvesting and drying, clearly resembles pine needles. Gyokuro is a 'Umami' tea (Japanese term for tasty and pleasant taste) in flavor and aroma, a very smooth and light infusion, unique. It is a tea known for its salty tones and flavors of vegetables and its antioxidant powers.
